Satellite Shakespeare — Belt Valley Shakespeare Players

The Belt Valley Shakespeare Players, in collaboration with The Belt Performing Arts Center, are establishing an internet-based outreach program to provide participatory theatre opportunities to students in grades 6-12, those students not able to attend regular practices due to distance to Belt. Satellite Shakespeare’s main practice hub will be on BPAC’s main stage with satellite rehearsal sites in your community serviced by video/audio conferencing/live streaming capabilities. Students will then only have to travel to Belt on a more infrequent basis for face-to-face rehearsals. Distance can be a problem for both rural and urban students in Montana, and streaming/conferencing technology can provide our young actors theatre opportunities not otherwise available to them.
